Two roads diverged
in a wood, and I
- I took the
one less traveled by,
and that has made all
the difference.

Thank you for supporting the Road Less Traveled. We are a 501(c)(3) non profit organization established by the family and friends of Samantha Dawn Gratt, who at the age of 31, succumbed to lymphoma in August 2006.

Fostering Samantha’s spirit, The Road Less Traveled is providing vehicles of hope, empowerment and self-confidence to impoverished communities, enabling them to rise above their dire circumstances.

The Road Less Traveled represents a journey of compassion and dedicated social action, leading to areas where people have been subsisting without prospects for a better future. Our focus is directed on Ecuador, a South American country with strikingly beautiful landscapes and warm, hospitable people. Sadly, with a population of approximately 12 million people, close to 60 percent of Ecuadorians live in poverty.

Our projects involve families and communities who struggle to survive, unable to provide their children with the “luxury” of education or health care. We are working to repair the foundational causes of their plight so that a framework of prosperity can be built.

Although there are challenges ahead, there also lies great promise in the people of Ecuador. For all of us involved in the organization, we view our lives as a gift that should be shared with those much less fortunate. We thank you for joining us as we travel in Samantha’s footsteps down The Road Less Traveled.
